THIS WEEK ON ALL 4 ADVENTURE…

Jase and Simon are back, and they’re meeting up with their old mate Jesse in Darwin to get the adventure started! Together they travel in the brand new fleet of vehicles to meet up with Sam Birch in Kununurra. Sam’s got a 10-day fishing trip planned for the boys down a difficult track with the promise of big barra along the way. But the weather forecast indicates that Mother Nature could add her own elements of surprise to make the trip more treacherous.

Crossing the Pentecost River is the starting line as they try—once and for all—to make their way down the length of the Carson River Track, a track that bested them ten years ago in Across the Top. Being so early in the season, Sam is the only one who has made it through so far. Will the boys and all their gear be able to finish the trek this time?

It sure is rocky as they roll down the track with memories of their previous difficulties running through their heads. Thank goodness for underbody protection and spotters to help guide through the boulders, but the carnage has already begun.

Along the way, they stop to visit a spot above the Durack that is meaningful to Sam’s family. The view is spectacular, but the history is sobering.

Making their way to an old camp proves to be a challenge with super soft sand, but they ditch the trailer to make life easier. Then it’s time to fish for their evening feed. Nothing better than barra bites before bed!

The next day the epic trip continues. The track is both sandy and rocky, so adjusting tyre pressures to suit the sand means lost ground clearance and hooking up on more of the stones. The winches get a work-out as they tow both vehicles and boulders. It’s an epic start to this redemption journey!
