THIS WEEK ON ALL 4 ADVENTURE…
Jase and Simon have finally made it to the coast and are looking forward to using some of their new toys. But first they’ve got one more day to try and bring in the big one for Day 2 of the fishing competition. After Simon’s red emperor came up just short, he’s determined to reel in a whopper. There are spanish macks and golden trevally, but will the biggest catch be a shark?
Back on shore, Jase cooks up some Banana Protein Pancakes for Simon before they head south to Onslow. Old Onslow, that is. The original settlement was established on the coast in 1885 as a trading post. But after wind, rain and cyclones wiped the place out, the timber buildings were moved north to a better spot in 1925 where the town sits today. What remains is the stone skeleton of the early days which inspires a bit of reflection on our country’s history.
Jase and Simon meet back up with Kiel who has access to a private beach. They cruise down the untouched beach until Simon hits some soft sand with his caravan. Jase follows with a bog of his own before they find a beautiful spot to camp.
The next morning, it’s the Avenger’s maiden voyage for this season, and they spend the day fishing for their supper. Will their crab pots deliver the goods? A feed by the fire ends a perfect day!
